A 15-amp motor revs up to provide 4,800 rpm, plenty for cutting anything you can feed it, and its impressive cutting capacity lets you rip 4-by stock in one pass without moaning or slowing – that’s power. The table’s perfectly flat, and with its extension, it can actually hand a full sheet of ply, cutting dadoes of almost an inch.

The thing that makes this saw stand out from its competitors is the T-slots for the miter gauge, resulting in a nice tight fit zero play and total support – no tipping -- when you’re beyond the table surface. Even better, commercial jigs and accessories with the T-shank just slip right in.

The blade height mechanism is among the smoothest we’ve seen, and precision is unparalleled. The fence is sturdy and smooth as well, with predrilled holes for an auxiliary fence. It moves like a dream and locks down tight with an easy-to-grip cam handle.

Storage is a nice feature on the 2704, well thought-out and executed, with a place for everything from the fence to the push stick. We like that there’s even a place for the blade below the table to protect it while it’s traveling.

At 61 pounds, it’s light enough to tote, and there are handholds beveled out on the sides of the table to make the job easier. The powerful 15-amp motor delivers 4,800 rpm and has electric brake for maximum productivity. Its complete storage capacity holds most commonly used accessories including saw blade, power supply cord, miter gauge, rip fence, push stick, wrench, safety guard and dado blade. The 3/8 inches by 3/4 inches T-slot miter gauge grooves accepts commercial accessories with T-formed shanks for versatile cutting, and the saw blade can be enclosed underneath the table to protect the blade during transport. The dead-on cam-locking rip fence and bevel locking handle give fast and easy adjustments, and the two pole slide system for raising and lowering blade gives the most efficient and smoothest adjustment of the blade depth.
